Chandra Bhatnagar, Staff Attorney, Human Rights Project, American Civil Liberties Union; main author, “The Persistence of Racial and Ethnic Profiling in the United States”
Facilitated Discussion: “What Local Human Rights Issues Are Most Pressing to You?”: Chivy Sok, Ginetta Sagan Fund of Amnesty International USA and former Co-Director of Women’s Institute for Leadership Development for Human Rights (WILD)

Networking and Lunch Note: We will have twenty-five local groups tabling during the event. City of Eugene Adaptive Recreation's "Arts for All" program will have materials available for people to create human rights art during the noon hour.
Afternoon Summit Program
Participatory/Action-Oriented Workshops : Twenty one workshops will be conducted by local community groups who will be framing their work from a human rights perspective. Topics include Indigenous Rights, Immigrant Rights, Health Care, Anti-Violence, Food, Mental Health Care, Trauma Survivors, Sexual Violence, LGBTQ Rights, Right to Shelter, Know Your Rights, Water and Human Rights, Costs of War, Environmental Rights, Neighborhood Rights Issues; Disability Rights
Post-Workshop Afternoon Closing Charge: Chandra Bhatnagar and Chivy Sok
Networking and Social Celebration with musical entertainment. Performances by In Accord chorus and by Kitsinhira Cultural Art Center's Zambuko Marimba Ensemble.
Note: FOOD for Lane County will be conducting a food drive at this event! Bring two cans of food to donate to FOOD for Lane County and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win some exciting prizes! Foods needed include (must be non-perishable and packaged): chilies, beans (lentils, pinto, black, refried), rice, tomatoes, chicken stock, MASECA (corn flour), chili powder, cumin, mole sauce, and enchilada sauce.
